Who are YOU?
Hi, I’m Kae Videtich. Pronouns are they/them.
I’m a Queer, Nonbinary, Neurodivergent, Dutch whyte relationship therapist who was born and is currently living on the land originally stewarded by the people of the three fires (the Anishinaabe tribes).
Outside of being a therapist, I spend my time singing in choir, playing with my three kids, dancing with my family, and camping in the forest and nearby the lake.
I connected to therapy through theatre! A strange and magical route. After graduating high school I believed I would be an actor in Chicago. After performing for a while it felt like something was missing for me. I then became a theatre teaching artist for students with Autism and Down syndrome as well as middle school students for after-school programs. I learned so much from my students about the healing of theatre. One evening while creating a curriculum I came across Drama Therapy. I finally found the words for what I was doing!
I started graduate school in San Francisco and quickly fell in love with Drama Therapy and Somatic Therapy. I knew I wanted to work with my Queer community and didn’t want to be limited to talk therapy, so I began imagining what private practice would look like for me. I returned to Michigan (the land of the Anishinaabe people) and started my private practice, inMotion Healing, in September of 2020.
My practice was soon filled by the most incredible humans that desired change and trusted in my work. I’ve been so grateful to my clients for their dedication to their healing and their openness with me. I’ve healed and will continue to heal alongside my clients.
I want you to know that healing is possible when you have safe people around that allow you to be your authentic self. In 2017, I moved to San Francisco and felt that community of safety. I was relieved to finally be me. I love being a safe person for my clients to look inward and learn to really love themselves.
Please reach out to me if you think I could be one of those safe people for you.
